Anthropologist Nancy Bank Smith says, “Anthropology is the science which tells us that people are the same the whole world over - except when they are different.”

The study of anthropology is the study of the origins of mankind. We believe what Nancy Banks Smith means by this quote is that all mankind is connected to each other even though we all have differences. Race in America has for centuries been a caste system that has divided and subjugated individuals in order to preserve the idea of white privilege, and also justify the inhumane practices of historical slavery. The way we start to treat and heal from the countless wounds caused by historical racism and slavery is through communication, understanding and the acceptance of each other. We All Are from Africa.org is a platform which allows us to share, educate, accept and embrace our differences as well as bring to focus the scientific, sociological and anthropological fact that we all originate from the same African ancestor. The idea is if we recognize the truth that we all come from the same patriarchal heritage; we will then be able to better view each other through a scope of equality and acceptance. Through this website you will find resources that connect you to art, educational videos, and forums of discussion, shared resources and information about the societal challenges we all share and have the responsibility to change. We hope you enjoy the time you spend with this website.

Thank you,
